CAPPS, ROBERT L. - age 38, a resident of Oliver Springs, and formerly of
Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2001 at his home. Mr. Capps
was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mitchell Capps; and by two
sisters, Teresa Sweat, and Rebecca Capps. Survivors: mother, Dorothy Capps of
Oliver Springs; sons, Robert L. McCoy of Knoxville, James Capps of Knoxville;
sister, Sonya Murphy and husband, Leslie of Oliver Springs; nephews,
Christopher Murphy, Leslie Murphy; nieces, Dottie Ann Sweat, Cheryl Fisher;
special family friend, Norma Neff; special friends, David Fall, Kenny
Presley, Gary Presley, James Long. Mr. Capps is also survived by several
aunts, uncles, and cousins. Robert was born April 3, 1963 in Knoxville. He
was employed as a butcher at Calhouns and Chesapeake's Restaurants of
Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith. A memorial service will be held
Saturday September 22, 2001 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp funeral Home
with Rev. Tony Rutherford officiating. Friends may call Saturday, between the
hours of 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
