Raymond Lee Nelson, 18, of Oliver Springs,
Angeline Ruggeri Simpson, 89, of Hampden, Mass.,

RAYMOND LEE NELSON, 18, of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, of
injuries sustained in an automobile crash.
He was born Dec. 1, 1983, in Oak Ridge and was the son of David Lee Nelson
and Marcella Ragsdale Nelson, both of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Nelson was a recent graduate of Oliver Springs High School and was
employed as a radiator processor for Modine Manufacturing Co. in Clinton.
He was a member of Kellytown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister, Michael
Nelson and Chelsey Nelson, both of Oliver Springs; his stepsister, Ashley
Fairchild of Oliver Springs; his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Margaret
Nelson of Oliver Springs; and his maternal grandfather, Berl Freels of the
Batley community.
Mr. Nelson is also survived by his uncles, Mike Ragsdale of Albany, Ga., Ed
Ragsdale and his wife, Angela, of Harriman, and Doug Ragsdale of Oak Ridge;
and his aunts, Jean McMillian and her husband, Bill, of Michigan, Ann
Ragsdale and Mona Williams, both of Oak Ridge, and Terri Hensley and her
husband, Randy, of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Hilda Ragsdale; two
uncles, Donnie Ragsdale and Raymond Ragsdale; and by an aunt, Dixie Hicks.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in the chapel of Sharp
Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Tommy Hensley officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Anderson
Memorial Gardens, 640 Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home.

ANGELINE RUGGEN SIMPSON, 89, of Hampden, Mass., died Saturday, July 13, 2002,
at Mary Lyon Nursing Home in Hampden.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and a former resident of Oak Ridge.
Born Dec. 23, 1912, in Newport, R.I., she was the daughter of Armando Ruggeri
and Rosanna Pasqueletti. She was educated in the Rhode Island school system,
her family said.
She was the widow of Robert E. Simpson.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her brother, Rudolph "Rudy" Ruggeri of Springfield, Mass.;
her sister, Lillian Flanders of Portsmouth, R.I.; and several nieces and
nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Sam Sturm officiating.
