SWENSON, HELEN R. - age 87 of Atlanta, Ga.,

BRIDGES, WILLIAM CRAWFORD - age 80, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, September 8,
2002, at the Methodist Medical Center. Veteran of World War II, serving with
the USAF. Retired in 1980 from DOE, where he was an Inspector. Preceded in
death by his wife, Margaret Josephine Scarbrough Bridges, 1991; parents,
Tillman C. and Annie Doggett Bridges; sisters, Hazel Sparks and Ester
Bridges, and brother, Joe Bridges. Survived by daughters, Sharon Ann Guymon
and husband, Greg of Clinton, Beverly Jo Taylor and husband, Lynn of Clinton,
Carolyn Jane Jones and huband, Mike of Cumming, Ga.; grandchildren, Matthew
Guymon and fiancé, Michelle Jackson and Jonathan Guymon and wife, Jana, all
of Oak Ridge, William Guymon and fiancé, Ashley of Knoxville, Mark Taylor and
Eric Taylor of Clinton and Michael Jones of Cumming, Ga.; great-
grandchildren, Edward Guymon of Paducah, Ky., Noah Guymon and Joseph Guymon
of Oak Ridge, Koby Guymon of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Martha Bridges of
Knoxville; brother, Tillman Eugene 'Gene' Bridges and wife, Barbara of Stone
Mountain, Ga.; sisters, Nan Nation of Mt. Holly, N.C., Eva Pruitt of
Ellenboro, N.C. Special friends, Ted and Bernice Mueller and Ray Foster and
all his East Drive neighbors, and Katherine Huckaby of Clinton. Funeral
services will be tonight, Monday, September 9, 2002, at 8:00 p.m. at
Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Charles Mattson officiating. Graveside services
will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Full Military
Honors provided by the Volunteer State War Era Honor Guard. The family asks,
any memorials be in the form of contributions to Trinity United Methodist
Church, 320 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, or to Clinch River Home
Health, 401 Sulphur Springs Road, Clinton, TN 37716. The family will receive
friends tonight from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
FRITTS, MARY EDNA - 78, a resident of Oak Ridge, formerly of Oliver Springs,
Tenn., passed away Monday at Briarcliff Nursing Center. Graveside service
will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Garden. Sharp Funeral Home in
Oliver Springs in charge of arrangements.
GEORGE, STEVE SHELDON - age 62 of Andersonville, passed away Sunday,
September 8, 2002 at his residence. He was a member of Andersonville United
Methodist Church. His hobbies included gardening, fishing and spending time
with his grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Monnie Franklin George &
Gertrude Imogene Stooksbury; brothers, Bobby & Walter George. Born March 12,
1940 in Anderson County. Survivors: wife of 43 years, Maxie Corrine George of
Andersonville; daughter, Myra McMillan & husband, Barry of Clinton; son,
Randall Scott "Scotty" & wife, Marie George of Clinton; grandchildren,
Brandon McMillan of Norfolk, Va., Monya McMillan of Clinton, Will & Anna
George of Clinton; sister, Brenda Sewell & husband, Roy of Athens; niece,
Angela George of Cartersville, Ga. Nephews will serve as pallbearers: Tim,
Sam and Jim George, Shane & Bradley Sewell, honorary pallbearers, Brandon
McMillan & Will George. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday
September 10, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services
following in the chapel with Rev. Tom Byrge & Rev. Don Jones officiating. The
interment will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sinking Springs Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers the family has requested memorials to be sent to Clinch River
Baptist Church, 407 Cane Creek Road, Lake City, Tenn. 37769 and Andersonville
United Methodist Church, 3940 Andersonville Hwy., Andersonville, Tenn. 37705.

SWENSON, HELEN R. - age 87 of Atlanta, Ga., passed away Sunday, September 8,
2002 at Windwood Health Care Center. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart
of Mary Church in Atlanta. Survivors: husband, John Swenson of Clinton;
daughters, Mary Jo Giles of Plano, Texas, Theresa Bean of Norris; 5
grandchildren, Erin, Andrew and Christine Giles, Katie & Michael Bean. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Holley-
Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
