WHITE, VERA E. - age 79, a resident of Oliver Springs,

JONES, ADELAIDE - age 82, of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 24,
2004, at the Harriman Rehab Center. She was born February 1, 1922 in Roane
County. She was a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church in Oliver
Springs. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Oliver Springs Chapter No. 211.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Vernon W. Jones; parents, Jeff & Sallie
Webster Wright; sisters, Jessie Marsh, Mildred Jones & Altha Freels; brothers,
Claude, Clifford, Boyd & Harold Wright. Survivors: son, Vernon Eddie Jones &
wife, Rebecca of Oliver Springs; daughter, Vivian G. Maginnis & husband, Charles
of Sterling, VA; grandson, Kevin Jones & wife, Sherri of Oliver Springs; great
grandsons, Austin & Ryan Jones of Oliver Springs; brothers-in-law, Ernest
Jones & wife, Johnnie of Madisonville, Jason Jones & wife, Rena of York, PA , T.
N. Jones of Clinton, Rhea Jones & wife, Joann of Madisonville; sisters-in-law,
Mossie Taylor of Knoxville, Avo Wright of Harriman; several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friend's 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, March 26, 2004 at
Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with funeral service following at 8:00 pm,
in the chapel with Rev. Bobby Barton & Rev. Charles Dean officiating. Interment
will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of
flowers, the family request memorials be made to Jonesville United Methodist
Church, Old Harriman Highway, Oliver Springs, Tennessee 37840. Sharp Funeral Home
of Oliver Springs in charge of all arrangements.
MUSTARD, MELVIN "TUCK" - age 76, of Andersonville passed away Wednesday,
March 24, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Andersonville
United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air-Corp.
Preceded in death by: parents, James & Flossie Mustard; son, Rodney Mustard &
brother, Buford Mustard. Survivors: wife, Barbara Mustard of Andersonville; sons,
Roger & wife Linda of Clinton; daughter, Cheryl Gentry of Las Vegas, Nevada;
mother of children, Eunice Mustard of Clinton; step daughter, Lisa Weaver &
husband Martin of Clinton; granddaughters, Shelly Simonds & husband Robert of
Clinton, Nicole Gentry of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, Roger Mustard II, & wife
Janice of Clinton; 2 great granddaughters; brother, Kyle Mustard & wife Doris of
Bear Springs, VA; sisters, Opal Kirk & husband Glen of Trigg, VA, Eva Mae
Lafone & husband Harold of Rich Creek, VA. The family will receive friends
12:00-2:00 pm, Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral
services following in the Chapel with his niece, Kimberly Goddard & Rev. Don
Jones officiating. The interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden. The
family has requested memorials be made to Andersonville United Methodist
Church, 3944 Andersonville Hwy., Andersonville, TN 37705. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
TUDOR, JOHN JULIAN - age 84, of Farragut, Tennessee passed away on March 21,
2004. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Palm Bay, Florida and a past
member of Central Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He retired in 1981
after 32 years from Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, where he received many awards
and was credited with several patents in engineering design. He was a flight
instructor for the Army Air Corps during World War II and continued serving in
the Civil Air Patrol. He was a lifetime member of the Academy of Model
Aeronautics and authored many articles in various model aircraft magazines. He was a
charter member of the Knoxville Chapter of the United Ostomy Association. He
played clarinet in orchestras at both churches in Oak Ridge and Melbourne.
He enjoyed drawing and painting. He was preceded in death by: his parents,
Hubert G. and Helen Crane Tudor; brothers, Philip C., Charles C. and James R.
Tudor; sister, Mary Stewart. Survivors include: sons, Sky Tudor, Anchorage,
Alaska, John Tudor, Jr., Broomall, Pennsylvania: and daughters, Sarah Watkins,
Lancaster, Kentucky, Julia Rodgers, Sandy Valley, Nevada, Tanya Guidry, Las Vegas,
Nevada and Traci Harvey, Lenoir City, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, five great
grandchildren; brother, William P. Tudor, Columbus, Ohio; and a sister,
Elizabeth (Betty) Williams, Melbourne Beach, Florida.

WHITE, VERA E. - age 79, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday,
March 23, 2004, at the Briarcliff Healthcare Center in Oak Ridge. She was born
September 15, 1924 in Union County and moved to Roane County in 1935. Mrs.
White was a member of New Fairview Baptist Church for 48 years and was active in
the church choir. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday,
March 25, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with funeral service
following at 8:00 pm, in the Chapel with Rev. Howard French, Rev. Scott Queener &
Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Interment will be held 11:00 am, Friday at
New Fairview Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs in charge of all
arrangements.
