FOUST, BERLIN SYLVESTER - age 97, of Clinton passed away Wednesday, April 7,
2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Zion
Baptist Church. He was a Clinton historian who enjoyed telling the history of
Clinton. Preceded in death by: wife, Esther Fraker Foust; great-grandson, Charles
Henry III; parents, Charles & Ella Foust; brother, Condy Foust; sisters, Vera
Taylor & Vivian Foust. Survivors: children, Lucile Wright of Clinton, Nina
Hembree of Clinton, Aude & Betty Foust of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great
grandchildren; & 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Foust of Lake
City. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2004 from 6 to 8 pm at
the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 8 pm in the
Chapel with the Rev. Archie Nelson and Rev. David White officiating. Interment will
be Saturday, April 10th. at 2:00 pm at the Foust Family Cemetery on Island
Ford Road in Lake City. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideon's
International, PO Box 536, Clinton, 37717. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

SHULTZ, MARY MILDRED - age 76, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home
on Thursday, April 8, 2004. She was born April 17, 1927 in Andersonville and
was a member of Second Baptist Church of Clinton. Preceded in death by her
husband, Howard V. Shultz; parents, Carrie & Worley Melton; four brothers, one
sister. A loving, devoted Christian mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother,
she will be missed by her family. Survivors: children: Brenda Shrader & husband,
Sam, of New Market. Deborah Shultz of Knoxville, Don Shultz of Berea, Ky.,
Michael Shultz & wife, Sally of Clinton; grandchildren: Capt. Steve & Tiffany
Shrader of Fort Irwin, California, Amy & Cameron Potter of New Market, Joseph
Shrader of New Market, beloved great-grandchildren: Mason Shrader and Madeleine
Sellars; devoted sister: Helen Webber; sister-in-law: Margaret Cox; several
special nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9,
2004 from 5 to 7 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service in the
chapel at 7:00 PM with the Rev. John Shaw officiating. Family & friends will
meet at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 10th, at Taylor Chapel Cemetery in Clinton for
interment. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of arrangements.

WELLS, EDWARD - age 77, of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2004
at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by wives: Lavella
King Wells & Helen Riggs Wells; brothers: Conley, Carl & Winford Wells;
sisters: Mae Wells, Mary Summers & Opal Green. Survivors: daughters: Donna Ray &
Melinda Malicoat; brother: Milas Wells; sisters: Ersthal Shoffner & Ruby Parker;
several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 8 p.m. Friday Cross Chapel Rev. Pat Ayers &
Rev Jim Summers officiating. Interment: 11 a.m. Saturday Bakers Forge
Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 til 8 p.m. Friday at Cross Funeral Home.
