COLTHARP, HENRY H. - age 84 of Friendsville,
COOPER, CLOVIS ADAMS JR. - age 62 of the Burrville Community,
LINDSEY, CLIFFORD LEON - age 69 of Powell,
SEIBER, CARL EDWARD - age 71 of Briceville, TN,
COLTHARP, HENRY H. - age 84 of 3850 Big Springs Ridge Road, Friendsville,
passed away suddenly 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at his home. Attended
the Maryville First Church of Nazarene. Veteran of World War II, proudly
serving in the U.S. Marines. A well-known avid trader. Son of the late George &
Jody Coltharp. Survivors: wife of 54 years, Dorothy Coltharp; daughter, Teresa J.
Coltharp, Friendsville; son & daughter-in-law, Henry Thomas (Tony) & Eileen
Coltharp, Andersonville, TN; grandchildren, Richard Thomas Coltharp,
Christopher Henry Coltharp, Chelsey Michelle Coltharp, all of Friendsville; several
nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by: son, John William Coltharp; five sisters;
three brothers. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Ray
Couey, Rev. John Conley officiating. Interment in Chestua Baptist Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home,
Madisonville.
COOPER, CLOVIS ADAMS JR. - age 62 of the Burrville Community, passed away
peacefully at the Lifecare Center of Morgan County on November 13, 2004 after a
long courageous battle with cancer. He retired from Lockheed-Martin after 31
years in December of 1999, at which time his "full-time" job became his family
and watching his wonderful grandchildren grow. Mr. Cooper was a Veteran of the
U.S. Air Force and was a founding member of the Burrville Volunteer Fire Dept.
He became fire chief around 1987 and served until his illness prevented him
from his duties this past spring. He was preceded in death by: his parents,
father, Clovis A. Cooper, Sr., mother, Mary Eva Greer Cooper; and son-in-law,
Timothy William Bohanan. He is survived by: his loving and supportive wife of 38
years, Bridget Smarsh Cooper; daughters, Crystal Cooper Doss and husband, D.
Wayne and Dawn Cooper Bohanan; grandchildren, Willie Clovis Doss, Benjamin
Wayne Doss, Shane Gregory Doss, Christopher William Bohanan, Jessica Ann Bohanan,
Wesley Earl Bohanan; brother, John D. Cooper, all of Burrville; aunts, Vella
Owens of Jamestown, Goldie Leonard and Lois Wright of Dayton, Ohio; uncle, John
Dale Greer of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law, Helen Smarsh; sister-in-law, Sheila
Smarsh Rowland and husband Cordell; brothers-in-law, Larry Pete Smarsh and
wife Betty Lynn, Gunter Smarsh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
wonderful friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November
16, 2004 from 6-8 pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services
will begin at 8 pm. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held
on Wednesday, 11 am in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Burrville.
LINDSEY, CLIFFORD LEON - age 69 of Powell, passed away on Sunday, November
14, 2004 at the Oakridge Methodist Medical Center. He was a retired Carpenter
with the Local Lodge #50 and a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He
was preceded in death by: his parents, James Arville Lindsey and Ruth Rains.
He is survived by: his son, James Lindsey; and daughters, Angela Branch and
Nicloe Hensley; brother, Aubrey Lindsey; and 7 grandchildren. Mr. Lindsey's
family will hold a private interment at the Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton.
Woodhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
SEIBER, CARL EDWARD - age 71 of Briceville, TN, passed away Sunday, November
14, 2004. Visitation: 6-8:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the Hatmaker
Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in the Hatmaker
Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the
Galbraith Cemetery in the Marlow Community. Hatmaker Funeral Home of Lake City
in charge of arrangements.
