CALVERT, WILLIAM NELSON, III - age 60 of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.,
DAVIS, EUGENE (BULL) - age 72, of LaFollette,
HOSKINS, KATHERINE JENKINS - age 81 of Clinton,
KEEN, DOROTHY BLAKE - 82 of Oak Ridge,
CALVERT, WILLIAM NELSON, III - age 60 of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., passed away
Wednesday December 15, 2004 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center in Oak
Ridge, Tenn. He was a former executive with South Central Bell and AT&T, managing
offices in Newport, Oak Ridge and Knoxville. Later he was with Contel Telephone
Co. in London, Ky. Mr. Calvert was also in the real estate business in
Knoxville. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was a member
of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was preceded in death by parents, William N.
Calvert, Jr. and Aileen Crenshaw Calvert. Survivors include, wife, Bobbie Ann
Calvert of Fairfield Glade; son, Captain Robert Cato USMC and wife, Sherry;
granddaughter, Rowan Elizabeth all of Washington, DC; brother, Lawrence L.
Calvert of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; nephew, Lawrence Calvert, Jr. of Arlington, Va. and
niece, Laura Calvert Hubbard and husband, Eugene of Knoxville; and his devoted
Pugs, Ollie and Otis. Memorial services will be held Sunday December 19, 2004
at 2 p.m. at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Malone will be
officiating. Family will receive friends after the service at a reception
held at Druid Hills County Club in Fairfield Glade. The family has asked that
memorials be made to East Tenn. Public Television or the United Way of Knoxville.

DAVIS, EUGENE (BULL) - age 72, of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, December
14, 2004 at his home. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, DAV Chapter
105, Tennessee Homeland Security, member and Past Master of Stooksbury Masonic
Lodge #602 F&AM, Scottish "Rite Bodies & Shriners and a US Marine Veteran. He
was very active and one of the founders of the Campbell Co. Honor Guard.

Davis. Survivors: wife, Jeannie Wallace Davis; sons, Johnny Lee & Donnie D.
Davis; grandchildren, Travis Lee Davis, Heather Nicole Nelson, Dustin D. Davis,
Kimberly Lynn Davis & Josuha Jordon Davis; great grandchildren, Makala &
Katlyn Davis & Bryson Dale Nelson; brothers, John & Ardell Davis; sisters, Edith
Bowles. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Ronnie
Arnold, Rev. Kevin Doe, Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Interment 1 p.m.
Sunday Campbell Memorial Gardens with military honors by Campbell Co. Honor
Guard. The family will receive friends 6-7:45 p.m. Saturday with Masonic service at
7:45 p.m. by Stooksbury Lodge at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Arrangements by
Cross Funeral Home.
HOSKINS, KATHERINE JENKINS - age 81 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, December
14th at her home. She was born in Sevierville, May 17, 1923 to Addison and
Dona Jenkins and was one of 15 children. She graduated from Clinton High School
and went on to attend Knoxville Business College. During the 40's she worked
at Y-12 in Oak Ridge and was a celebrated member of the basketball and bowling
teams. In 1949 she met and married R.C. (Dudley) Hoskins. Katherine and R.C.
were owners of Hoskins Drug Stores in Clinton, Norris, Oak Ridge, Lafollette
and Harriman, and also owned Acme Hospital and Convalescent Equipment Company in
Loudon and Roane Counties. Katherine was co-owner of Hoskins Drug Store on
Market Street in Clinton with local pharmacist William (Bill) Lane. Katherine
loved her work and her community and she passed her keen business sense down to
her daughters who run the 75 year old business today. Katherine was an avid
follower and supporter of The University of Tennessee Athletics and of the UT
College of Pharmacy. She was a beloved wife and a loving role-model and mentor
to her four daughters who she commonly referred to as "the girls". Katherine
was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Clinton, and an "honorary"
member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton. She was a member of Timely
Topics and the Garden Club #1 in Clinton. Katherine loved living in Clinton
and the friendships that she cherished there. She was blessed to have a loving
family and a very special circle of friends. She is preceded in death by:
parents, Addison and Dona Jenkins, husband R.C. (Dudley) Hoskins; siblings; Odie
Cecil, Paul, Ed, Elmas Ray, Frank, Jewel, Lucy, Luther, Virginia Jo, Dike and
Emajean. Also by: great granddaughter, Addison Elizabeth Legg. She leaves with
us: four daughters; Kathy Hoskins, Dudley Bostic and husband Paul (Jenks),
Sheree Herbst and husband Keith and Mollie Scarbrough and husband Rick, all of
Clinton and brother, Eugene Jenkins & wife Madeline of Michigan. She is also
survived by: 10 grandchildren; Steve Stewart II, Jessica Legg and husband Jason,
Keri Stewart, Jenky Walker and husband Daniel, Mollie Farrar and husband Zack,
Tucker Borum, Ryan and Katherine Herbst, Natalie and Rachel Scarbrough;
great-granddaughter, Olivia Prinz Creason. Katherine also leaves loving nieces and
nephews. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center in
Clinton, Memorial United Methodist Church Library in Clinton, or The R.C. and
Katherine Hoskins UT College of Pharmacy Endowment. The family will receive
friends Thursday, December 16th from 5-7pm at First Baptist Church in Clinton.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 17th at noon at First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Clinton. The Reverends
Samuel Dean and Don Thomas will be officiating. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
KEEN, DOROTHY BLAKE - 82 of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at
the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1922 in Greene
County, TN, the daughter of Bloomy and Mary Bright Blake. In 1945, she moved
to Oak Ridge and married her devoted husband of 58 years, Harry A. Keen, who
survives her. Mrs. Keen was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United
Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: siblings,
Doyle, Kline and Glenn Blake and Bessie Egan. She is also survived by: her
loving son, Joe Keen; 2 beloved grandchildren, Jeremy Keen and wife Wendy and
Jeff Keen and; great granddaughter, Bailey Keen; sister, Ina Robertson and;
brother, Jay Blake and wife Betty. Funeral services will be held on Sunday,
December 19, 2004 at 2:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Michael Johnson and
Rev. Aldana Allen officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until 2:00pm at
