Hello, Gerald:
My Grandfather, Jeptha Allen Gibson was born in New River, Scott County,
TN. Henry is also a name in our family. We also have some Lawson,
Croley and Lays in our family. My Grandfather lived in Elk Valley on
Stinking Creek where he had a coal mine that he and his sons worked.
This is where my father James Carl Gibson was born and raised.

Granville Gibson was born October 15, 1854 in KY, and died August 30,
1904. He married Nancy Bowling, daughter of Nathan Bowling and Susannah
Lawson. She was born December 17, 1854 in Scott Co., TN, and died May 13,
1917 in LaFollette, Campbell Co., TN.
Children of Granville Gibson and Nancy Bowling are:
301 i. Nellie7 Gibson, born June 05, 1878; died 1931.
302 ii. Nancy Gibson, born January 28, 1879 in KY.
303 iii. Sheridan P. Gibson, born March 16, 1880 in KY; died September
29, 1962 in LaFollette, Campbell Co., TN. He married Nellie Young.
304 iv. Jeptha Allen Gibson, born December 01, 1882 in New River, Scott
Co., TN; died December 18, 1955 in LaFollette, Campbell Co., TN. He
married Lydia Elizabeth Graham November 06, 1907 in LaFollette Co., TN;
born September 22, 1891 in Briceville, Anderson Co., TN; died November
19, 1987 in LaFollette, Campbell Co., TN.
