DAUGHERTY, JAMES CARL - Age: 92 of Englewood, TN passed away Thursday
morning, March 31, 2005 at Athens Regional Hospital, Athens, TN. He was a native of
and life long resident of McMinn County. He was a son of the late Ed and Ada
Sutton Daugherty, and was retired from Athens Stove Company. Member of Englewood
Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents listed above; sisters, Aimee
Ammons and Lillie Mae Morgan; brothers, Theron, Jay and Gene Daugherty.
Survivors: wife: Maude Morgan Daugherty, Englewood, TN; 5 daughters and sons-in-law:
Hazel and Leonard Derrick, Englewood, TN, Margie and the late J.R.
BowersEnglewood, TN, Faye and Joe Ben Kincaid, Etowah, TN, Joyce and Clarence Crisp,
Knoxville, TN, Sandy and Rex Blankenship, Englewood, TN; 1 son: Darrell Daugherty,
Atlanta, GA; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 19
great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen Daugherty, Englewood, TN, Earnestine
Daugherty, Maryville, TN. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2005
in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home, concluding with the Celebration
of Life video. Ministers Robert Flowers and Pat Wilson will officiate. The
family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to
the service. Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens at 10
a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2005 for the committal service, which will conclude
with the White Dove Liberation Ceremony. Bordwine Funeral Home in charge of

LAWSON, SHIRLEY ANN ADCOX - age 68 of Harriman, passed away Wednesday March
30, 2005 at Roane Medical Center. Shirley was born March 20, 1937 in Rockwood
to Elmer & Lela Adcox, who preceded her in death. She was a life long resident
of Roane County & was of the Baptist faith. Also preceded in death by: infant
son, Randell D. Bell; 3 brothers & one sister. Survivors: loving husband, R.
L. Lawson of Harriman; daughter, Carla Wheeler & husband Richard of Kingston;
sons, David Joe Bell of Harriman, Rick Bell of Harriman, Doug Lawson & wife
Heather of Harriman; sisters, Francis Floyd & husband Norman of South Carolina,
Janice Ezell of Rockwood; brothers, John Adcox & wife Naomi of Nashville,
Roland Adcox of Nashville; 6 grandchildren. Funeral 8:00 pm Saturday at Kyker
Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Elder Bill Brown and Elder Clinton Pickard
officiating. Graveside service 2:00 pm Sunday at Piney Grove Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home in

MILLER, ELLA MAE - age 79 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005
at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Knoxville. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church of LaFollette where she was secretary for 17 1/2 years and also
worker with the Senior Citizens Committee of the First Baptist Church.. She
was a very active member of the Campbell County Historical Society and a member
of the DAV Auxiliary and the Republican Women's Club. Mrs. Miller was a
loving, devoted wife of 59 years, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time
with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by parents: Charles T.
Sr. and Verla Wilson Mowell and brother: Frank D. Mowell. Mrs. Miller is
survived by husband: Clarence Miller of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-law: Greg
and Pam Miller of Jacksboro; daughter and son-in-law: Lora Jean and William
Wilson of LaFollette; grandson and wife: Keith and Lynette Miller of Knoxville;
Brothers: Charles T. Mowell Jr. of Brookville, OH; L.T. Mowell of Kettering,
OH; sister: Loretta Kitchens of Dayton, OH; several nieces and nephews and a
host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday,
April 2 at the First Baptist Church of LaFollette with Rev. Lane Harris
officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday before funeral services. In Lieu of flowers
please make donations to LaFollette First Baptist Church Bus Fund, 255 West Central
Ave. LaFollette, TN 37766. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.

SNAPP. BARBARA - age 73 of Andersonville, went to be with the Lord 6:05 am
Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
and was a retired employee of Bell South. Preceded in death by: parents,
Charles and Elsie Whaley; brothers, Charles, Gene and Sy Whaley; and sisters,
Loretta Sellars and Dot Morris. Survived by: loving husband, Clarence Snapp; son
and fiancé, Richard Snapp and Juanita Cox; son, Keith Snapp; daughter, Melody
Archer; grandsons and wife, Brian and Carrie Archer, Travis and Corey Snapp;
brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Mary Cutshaw; several friends and other
relatives. Funeral service will be Saturday, 8 pm in the Chapel of Mynatt Funeral
Home with Reverend Tom Aiken and Reverend Joe Bridges officiating. Family and
friends will meet Sunday at 1:45 pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery for
2 pm graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Tim Snoderly, Jeff Snoderly, Jeff
Fraker, Curtis Wallace, Brad Aiken, and Douglas McClure. The family will
receive friends Saturday from 6-8 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home.
