ANDERSON, WOODROW - of Oak Ridge, departed this life on April 8, 2005 at his
residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by
Unity Mortuary.

DREVIK, GEORGE - age 70, of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 at St.
Mary's Residential Hospice. He was born George Drevikovsky, Jr. in Cicero,
Ill. He took a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois
and relocated East Tennessee and was employed at Union Carbide/Martin
Marietta. He is survived by his very special friend, Nancy Carroll of Clinton; three
sons, Darren & wife Marilyn of Marietta, Ga., Kevin and wife Tery of
Moorestown, New Jersey, and Steven and fiancé Lee Ann Rogers of Knoxville;
grandchildren, Johnathan, Jordan, and Abigail. He was a member of St. Francis' Episcopal
Church in Norris, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Tuesday,
April 12, 2005 at St. Francis' Episcopal Church with Rev. Susan E. Speir
officiating. Receiving of friends will follow the memorial service. In lieu of
flowers, any memorials should be made to the St. Francis' Episcopal Church, Stained
Glass Window Fund, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart
Association. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.

ELKINS, MRS. LENNIE KATHERINE (LOOPE) - age 91 of Andersonville, passed away
at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Baptist Hospital after a lengthy
illness. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death
by parents, Ballard and Vesta Jane Loope and 10 siblings. Survived by husband,
Weyman Elkins; daughter, Sharon Elkins; granddaughter and husband, Andrea a
and Daniel Meyers; and great grandson, Samuel Meyers all of Andersonville;
brothers and sisters in law, Jesse and Myrtle Elkins of Andersonville, and Frank
and Clara Elkins of Halls; sister in law, Hazel Pickle of Queens, New York;
special family member, Lenny Holt; several nieces and nephews. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Valley Grove Baptist Church with funeral
services to follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Jimmy Davidson, and Rev. Burney Hutchison
officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Monday at New Loyston Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers:
Daniel Meyers, Leonard Holt, Marvin Elkins, Conley Haynes, Max George, Edward

GOOSIE, ROSS K. - age 79 of Knoxville, passed way Friday, April 8, 2005. He
was a former member of Euclid Ave. Baptist Church and a de voted father and
grandfather. Ross was a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army 79th
(Cross of Lorraine) Infantry Division at Normandy and later under General
George Patton. He retired from Oak Ridge National Lab after 33 years of service
as a Design Engineer. Ross is preceded in death his parents, Mathis and Edna
Heath Goosie; brother, Bud Goosie. Ross is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Mildred Knight Goosie; son, Stephen Goosie, all of Knoxville; daughter and
son-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Coleman of Kingsport; grandchildren, Michelle and
Stephanie Goosie of Harriman, Michael, Kenneth and Sarah Coleman of Kingsport;
sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Walter Ballard; sister-in-law, Joetta
Gossie all of Knoxville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Deloris
Knight; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 11:30 A.M., Monday
at Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Provence officiating.
Full Military Honors will be presented by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
Family request Memorials may be made to Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard,
P.O. Box 20091, Knoxville, Tennessee 37940. The family will receive friends
2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

HUGHES, BILLY H. - age 69 of Harriman, TN slipped away in the arms of his
Lord in the morning of April 9.2005, with his loving wife by his side after a
courageous battle against cancer. He was a member of Central Baptist Church,
Kingston. He was a loyal and dedicated member of Local 46, Knob for over 50 years.
He was an avid trophy winning golfer playing every sunny day with his son
Butch, Jim Starnes and John Black. He was preceded in death by his mother Emma
Pickett Hughes Gibson, father Will Hughes and step father Oscar Gibson, two
sisters: Elsie Tyree, Dorothy Green, one brother James Hughes. He is survived by
six sons and two daughters: Lloyd (Butch) Hughes and Joey Hughes of Kingston,
TN., Jackie Hughes, Piney Flats, TN., Eddie and Scottie Hughes of Johnson City,
Mike Sell of Johnson City, Gail Swarts and Linda Musik of Johnson City; a
stepdaughter: Julie Thomas and her family of Elizabethton, TN.; two brothers: Ray
Hughes and wife Liz of Erwin, TN; Harry Gibson and wife Nancy; one sister:
Peggy Wallen of Johnson City. At Billy's request, there will be no services.

KWASNOSKI, BETTY ROBERTSON - 81 of Oak Ridge died on April 8, 2005 at
Methodist Medical Center. The daughter of David and Christina Fisher Robertson was
born in Woodhaven, New York on May 24, 1923. She was a soprano soloist at First
Presbyterian Church in the 40's and 50's. An active member of the Oak Ridge
Jaycees, she was elected State President in 1952. An avid golfer, she was a
member of the Oak Ridge Country Club, Past President of the Knox area Women's Golf
Association, a member of the Tennessee Senior Golf Association, Charter
member of the Tennessee Golden Circle Golf Group, and a Board Member of the
Tennessee Women's Golf Association. Her civic activities included working at the
Glenwood Polls, co-chair of the first Y.W.C.A. membership drive, co-chair of the
first Oak Ridge Civic Music Association Guild membership drive, city-wide chair
of the March of Dimes prior to the discovery of the polio vaccine, toy
co-chair in the Holiday Bureau's first year, and tax preparation for the elderly at
the Senior Center for ten years. Preceded in death by son, Stephen David
Kwasnoski. Mrs. Kwasnoski is survived by her husband of 60 years, Theodore and son,
Douglas of Oak Ridge; grandson, David, of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Florence
Kwasnoski of Ranshaw, PA; brother-in-law, John and his wife, Vivian, of Coal
Township, PA; 15 nieces and nephews and several cousins; the Bridge Club Ladies
were very special friends. The family requests that memorials be in the form
of donations to: The National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue,
Bob Hope Road Miami, Florida 33136- 1494. A memorial service will be held
Monday, 7 PM in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Kerra Becker English
officiating. The graveside service will be Tuesday, 10 AM at Anderson

MARLEY, MRS. MARTHA - 91, passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 in Atlanta, Ga.
She was devoted to her only daughter, Marti Marley Blincoe, and enjoyed living
with her and her family in their Atlanta home since August 2004. She was
raised in Knoxville and was a member of Erin Presbyterian Church. Martha attended
Maryville College then taught school and worked at Oak Ridge Laboratories. She
is preceded in death by husband, Rev. Cecil V. Marley and sister, Elizabeth
Thurmer. She is survived by daughter and son in law, marti and Bill Blincoe of
Atlanta; granddaughters, Blair, Keller and Camy Blincoe; sister, Clara K.
Walters of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces, Kity Walker of Winston-Salem, Lois Brink of
Roswell and nephews, Jeff Walter of Loudon, Tenn. A memorial service will be
held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Atlanta on April 12 at 11:30 a.m. and
interment in Highland Memorial Cemetery Saturday April 16, in Knoxville.

PEACE, WILLIAM CARL - age 80, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005
at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Clinton Second Baptist
Church. William is preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Anna Bell Wright
Peace; son, Carl Vaughn Peace; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors: wife of 61
years, Ruby Peace of Clinton; daughters, Joyce Hood & husband Jr. of Clinton,
Glenda McCollum & husband Greg of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Bryan Hood & wife
Brenda of Clinton, Tracy Weaver of Clinton, Sherry Lankford & husband Gerald
of Clinton; great grandchildren, Zachary, Dakota and Indeah Hood, Chase and
Hunter Lankford; sister, Ruby Luckinbill of Bells, TN; several nieces and
nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, April 9, 2005 at
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with
Rev. Mike Thompson and Frank Carey officiating. His burial will be 2:00 PM,
Sunday at Sunset Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of
all arrangements.

RUSSELL, BOBBY JOE - age 59 of the Marlow Community, went home to be with the
Lord on April 8, 2005 at his residence. He was a member of Poplar Creek
Baptist Church and in recent years had rededicated his life to the Lord, Jesus
Christ. He was an avid auto enthusiast. He was a magnet for all children, knowing
how to aggravate just enough to have them hanging onto him when they caught
sight of him. He never met a stranger and anyone who met him felt as if they had
known him for a lifetime. He was a mentor to many and a friend to even more.
His greatest joys came from the love of his life, his wife, Sheila and being
with his family. He loved music and loved to laugh. Before his retirement he
was a carpenter by trade, building his family home from the logs on his land.
After retiring, he taught his skills and knowledge to many. He was one of the
founding members of the Marlow Volunteer Fire Department. He was a 32 Degree
Mason, being a member of the Omega Lodge #536, F.&A.M. in Oliver Springs and also
veteran of the United States Navy. His family says that he will be greatly
missed by all of those who knew him. He is preceded in death by: his parents,
Howard and Sephie Russell. Survivors: wife of 41 years, Sheila Russell;
daughters, Shelley Wright & husband Junior, Bobbie Sue Lane all of the Marlow
Community; 5 wonderful grandchildren, Cpl. Allan Luther Russell Wright who is a member
of the U.S. Marine Corps. recently returning home from Iraq, Aaron Luther
Wright, a Junior at Clinton High School, Tyler Steven Lane, a Freshman at Clinton
High School, Skyler Logan Russell a Second Grader at Grand Oaks Elementary
School, Bradleigh Rosslynn Earl Russell of Norwood Early Head Start; brothers,
Arthur Russell of Oliver Springs, Dallas Russell & wife Jeannie of Marlow,
Odell Russell & wife Lana of Clinton, Trent Russell & wife Tammy of Marlow;
sisters, Wonda Bean Russell, Brenda Smith, Mary Jane Wright, all of the Marlow
Community, Patsy Vann & husband Donald Ray Sr. of Wartburg, Donna Disney of
Heiskell; many nieces, nephews, aunts and other relatives and by many, many special
friends. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2005
at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with funeral services following with Rev. Bill
Dawson & Rev. Greg Brewer officiating. His burial will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday at
Anderson Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be: Cpl. Allan Wright, Aaron Wright,
Tyler Lane, Skyler Russell (honorary), Spc. Brandi Russell, Jamie Vann,
Donald Vann Jr., Logan Disney, Junior Wright and SSgt. Daniel E.L. Bean.
