Hello all,

I just signed up to this list. I'm researching several families from
Washington Co., TN who lived there from the late 1700's to the Civil
War. Most of my lines moved to Laurel Co. KY during the Civil War.

Surnames- GAINES/ GAIN, GREEN, HARTSELL, MILLION, NELSON, PRICE

Gaines and Price:
I'm descended from Nimrod Gaines and Mary Catherine Price. Nimrod was
born about 1813 and Mary Catherine was born about 1822. They were
married in Washington Co. TN on Dec. 14, 1839. Nimrod Gaines was the
son of John Gain Jr. and Dorcas ?. John Gain Jr. was born in Maryland
and died between 1825-26. He and wife Dorcas are buried in the
Dulaney Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Green:
I'm descended from Isaac Fletcher Green who was born on Mar. 26,
1830. Isaac married Nancy H. Nelson on Sep. 15, 1859 in Washington
Co. TN. (I have not been able to find Isaac Fletcher's parents and
I'm searching desperately for them!)

Nelson:
I'm descended from Orville Perry Nelson who was born on Jan. 11, 1811
in Washington Co. TN. Orville married Hannah Hartsell on Jan. 9, 1834
in Washington Co. TN. Orville was the son of William Nelson and Nancy
Leak/ Lake.

Hartsell and Million:
I'm descended from Jacob Taylor Hartsell who was born in 1786. Jacob
was the son of Jacob Hartsell Sr. (probably) and Hannah Anthony.
Jacob married Nancy A. Million on Oct. 3, 1805 in Washington Co. TN.
Nancy Million was born in 1787 to Edward Million and Mary White.
