Ok......here is my first one......I bet you can even guess who it might
be........
I want the maiden name of Lydia ????? McCLAIN......who was the wife of John
McCLAIN of #13 Weakley Co......she would have been born btw 1800- 1810......
Here are my THEORIES:
From
My research of Census, etc
I believe, without proof, that Lydia, wife of John McClain, was a WILLIAMS.
Children of John & Lydia:
Allen
Newborn
Joseph
Charles
John
Now let's look at these names......
Allen.... There was an Allen WILLIAMS...no other Allens that has ever been
Found in the McCLAIN family.....
Newborn......Of course there was a Newborn WILLIAMS.....how many Newborn
Could there be????. No other Newborns
anywhere....
Joesph.....There was a Joseph WILLIAMS , also the name Joseph runs in the
McCLAIN family but not this direct line.....
Charles.....John McCLAIN's father was Charles McCLAIN......none known in
The WILLIAMS family......
John.......Again a McCLAIN family name not a WILLIAMS name......
From
Weakley County Courthouse, Dresden, Tennessee per research of Garry Brown.
John McCLAIN loaned Newborn WILLIAMS money in Weakley County as filed in the
courts of Weakley County 6th day of June 1834.
