I never thought of Cemetery Walks as possible fund-raisers! What a great
idea!
Last year at a family reunion we had cousins dressed as James and Mary Meek,
the original settlers in the Meek family in Weakley County, when we visited
Freeman Cemetery. We were just trying to keep the kids entertained.... but it
was pretty interesting to see a couple dressed in period costumes holding
forth about early times at the tombstones for James and Mary.
