I went to school with the Capps girls in Gleason in 1947 until 1954.Their
father was Doyle Capps, and he ran Capps grocery store,on the west side of
the street next to the Bank. One girl was named Sherry.I can't remember
the other.
May have only been one,but I seem to remember two.I for get just how it
came to be.Someone said he moved the store to "Pillowville",or near
there.I heard that he had opened a supermarket back in the late 50's or
early 60's.If I run upon more info I will send it to the List.I remember
that I liked Doyle Capps. He was a nice fellow, and so was his family. My
Father thought the world of those folks! If he were still with us,I could
get him to talk a lot.God rest his soul...He would love what My cousin
Dave and I have discovered about our family tree.
I hope you get that "Christmas present".Hang in there Tami.
Merry Christmas to you and yours....Bud Ray ..Michigan
