It was the nickname for the school. We still sometimes refer to the hill as
"up on Happy Hill" even though the school building was torn down in the
1930's.
Broad St. was once named Cedar St. Evergreen St. was Dresden St. The street
going up Happy Hill is still College St. The school was originally named
Normal College before it became Greenfield Grammar School.
