I am still looking for anyone who can tell me about the Harreld family from Wilson Co. Tenn. My 3rd great-grandfather, John Harreld, lived there in the 1820's. He married Sarah Hudson, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Hudson, from Rutherford Co., Tenn, in 1822. He owned land in Chandlers Company, in 1825-26, and paid taxes on it. I am looking for any information on his parents, which I have hit a brick wall on. I know there were Harrelds living in N.C. at about this same time, therefore, I don't know if he just left home and came to Tenn., or if his parents lived in Wilson Co., or close or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If nothing else, where would I find copies of tax lists in the 1820's? Thanks
