Why not start one? There was no APG chapter in Kansas until I recruited
every "professional" genealogist I could find to attend a get-acquainted
meeting. Heartland Chapter covers parts of 4 states. I'm sure if you
looked on the APG list you would find 10 people within a hundred miles
of Chicago to form a chapter. My nearest colleage is 112 miles east and
I usually drive 180+ miles one way to a chapter meeting.
