Hi all,

I have a question for all of the writers out there. When writing your reports, or your articles, how do you remove the researcher from the writing without your work ending up written entirely in passive voice.

Example:

1. I researched XXX record and found XXX (1st person) or
2. The researcher utilized XXX record and found XXX (the best compromise I can come up with, but sounds really stiff) or finally
3. XXX record was searched and XXX was found. (passive voice)
