Someone kindly wrote to me offlist and suggested that I had
misinterpreted what I read about "libel for divorce" and I did. I just
happened to get a hit when I searched in Black's Law Dictionary (on
Google Books) that dealt with verbal abuse and divorce, and I assumed
it was a hit for "libel for divorce" and it was not. It was under a
heading of "injures graves."
It appears that that is just the general name for the filing of the
divorce, and so now I know even less than I thought I did before.:-)
Thought I'd better write and correct, lest I lead anyone else astray.
Patti
