Perhaps you re leaning toward citing this source like an artifact???
You "cite the source."
http://library.duke.edu/research/citing/
Several really good things to help appropriately in citing your sources are
An oldie but a good one still, is Richard S. Lackey's
"Cite Your Sources. A Manual for Documenting Family Histories and
Genealogical Records"
A QuickSheet "Citing Online Historical Resources" (from Elizabeth Shown
Mills' book) "Evidence! Citation & Analysis for the Family Historian" - both
the QuickSheet and the book are published by Genealogical Publishing Co,
Baltimore MD
