A friend of mine once worked for Social Security; someone needed to
get an original record from the Philippines (to prove their age, I
think), but the repository there replied that the records had been
eaten by ants. Wonder if kids used that excuse for their homework, too?
Seems like there's no end to the reasons why the records or info might
not be available.
