Thank you to everyone for your suggestions in reply to my earlier
question. I really appreciate your opinions, and especially the specifics from Elissa. It definitely makes sense to start with the current generation and introduce the family from there.

Elizabeth, while I do really appreciate the time taken to put together your reply, I am offended by your assumption that I rely on genealogy computer programs to write up my research findings. I have used the word 'report' in the context of having researched the family, and reaching the point of compiling the information into a written form. It is my understanding that this would, to a professional genealogist, be called the "client report".  The question posed was merely to request opinions on which direction to go that might be most understandable for presenting an entire family. I am sorry if that was not clear.
