The keys on my Asus Eee PC (I think it's the 1000 model, one that is in stores now) does unfortunately, have flat keys. However, they are spaced a bit apart from each other. I also have nails which would normally make typing a little challenging without normal desktop keys, but with the Eee PC they just slide in the spaces while I type and I don't have the problem of hitting the nearby keys at all. So while the shape of the desktop keys is preferable, the keys on the Eee PC do the job well despite the nails.
