I hear Santa is bringing me a reproduction of a period map atlas (this one
is Canada, national in scope, but with a section on a county of particular
interest).

And the _Phillimore Atlas & Index of Parish Registers_ (UK).

but any reproductions of a period atlas is on my list.

No signs of a rebellion by family & friends here against genealogically
styled presents again this year. The signs are good so far! A bit of the
usual grumbling (something about "same old, same old")...

Hello List,

Hope everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving!

I need some help.

My family is asking me for a Christmas list and I normally ask for
genealogy books and periodicals. However, I have done this so often that my
library is pretty complete.

So, I would like to know if anyone can suggest any genealogy books that
were published within the year 2009 that they would recommend that should be
added to a good genealogy library. I am mainly looking for general
genealogy books.

I would appreciate any input.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
