Hi Mary Beth
I have had this scanner for almost two years and I love it. I use it
primarily for genealogy, both document scanning and preserving photos. Last
summer I scanned over a thousand old family pictures.that a cousin found
stored away in his mother's belongings. Many of them had been put into those
old magnetic photo albums, then stored in a plastic tub for about 20 years.
Removing them would have destroyed the photos so I scanned each page with
this scanner. Now I can and crop and isolate each picture. The quality is
great. I bought my scanner at Brookstone. I was skeptical at first, but
was assured it would not be a problem returning it if it didn't meet my
expectations. Since then three of my associates have purchased the scanner
for their own genealogy use. One thing I like about it-if the scan is not
going well a red light let you know to re scan; that happens sometimes when I
try to scan too fast. By the way, the original batteries lasted much
longer than scanning all those photos.

I was wondering if anyone has bought or knows someone who has used this
device?
I am going on a trip where I hope to have the opportunity to obtain copies
of
pictures and documents.? This seems like a great product and extremely
handy for
traveling and scanning anywhere.? Most of the reviews I have read are
overwhelmingly positive, but I would like to have someone who I know has
seen or
used it.
