I'm looking at a 1911 death certificate in Texas for a man whose
doctor had treated him from May until his death in July and wrote the
cause of death as "hymenia." That's a new one for me. Can anyone
point me in the direction of a definition? The closest I can come is
possible poisoning from some sort of fungus.
