The mystery deepens! I had written over the weekend requesting help in
finding a marriage certificate for Philetus Pollock and Susan Brewster
in Franklin, CT in 1848. I just talked to the clerk in Franklin, CT.
There was no marriage certificate for 1848, but there was one for 1857
for Philetus Pollock and Susan POLLOCK. They had one child born in
1853, so now it looks like maybe they had divorced and remarried? She
referred me to the church where Rev Dr Nott (it was spelled Mott on the
NARA records) performed his ceremonies, so I've left them a message. I
will keep you updated. Thank you all again for your help!
