The Transitional Genealogists List was created to provide a supportive
environment for genealogists to learn best practices as they transition to
professional level work. Please respect the kind intentions of this list.

Thanks to Joseph for alerting us to this fantastic web site. I was not aware of
it before now. The site (http://historicpathways.com/ ) has a collection of
reprints of Ms. Mills articles and genealogical case studies available for
download. The articles could easily be the basis of a challenging course of
self-study or used for a discussion group on evidence analysis and methodology.
Many thanks to Elizabeth Shown Mills for creating a site of such tremendous
educational value.

Just finished reading (on Historic Pathways) "Anderson of Buckingham, A Case
Study in
Family Reconstruction within a "Burned County" by Ms. Mills. Published (July
1983)
by Indiana Historical Society in "Genealogy", and "The Virginia Genealogist"
(also
1983).
I have a one word reaction: Indefatigable. Whew! Ms. Mills really nailed that
one.
Congratulations on a very attractive new site, which will probably also prove to
be
indefatigable. Or something more better.
