I didn't attend the conference, but I can assure you that these
developers are no different from any others. My previous career was in
the software industry, in positions from customer service through
Quality Manager, with an important stint as a data modeler --
interviewing users to determine their data requirements (which is what
should drive the process development, but most companies don't see it
that way). At any rate, developers who are interested in the users'
needs are few, indeed.
