Subject: [TRIER-ROOTS-L] Address in Clausen/Luxembourg 1840's
Date: Wed, 27 Jun 2001 21:52:53 -0500
On the death records for Peter Wagner (died Dec 1840) and his wife Maria
Marx (died May 1845) it says their house number was 118 Clausen Grasse
(although Grasse was typed and not handwritten and on Maria's record it
appears to be crossed out).
I take it to mean this was the address of their home.
Would such an address still exist (www.mapquest.com can find such an
address) or would the street and location have moved over time? I doubt
very much there is any original building left but if that address were
still the same area it would be neat to come see it sometime. Is anyone
familiar with that area of Luxembourg City - what is that area like?
