I have access to a computerized version of the church records for Verdal,
and I found a candidate that seems to fit with the information provided.
Only the birthdate is off by one month. My candidate's name is Christian,
he was born Oct. 11, 1823, and his parents were Anders Johannesen and Anne
Theodorsdatter. They were living at the Lyng Nordre farm in 1823, more
specifically at a cotter's place under that farm.

Christian moved out of Verdal at one point, at least before 1855. In the
1865 census he was living at Nesna, a community in Nordland county, where
he was a farmer at the Blyseth farm. He was married to Bergitha Abelsdatter,
aged 43 and born in the Mo parish of Nordland. They had the following children:
Anna (age 11), Olava (9), Kristian (6), Anton (5) and Engeborg (1). All
children were born at Nesna.

Does this information correspond with yours? Does it mean that they all
emigrated, or only some of them?
