Trevor, Judy, and Listers:

We had a discussion of the surname Reitan. There are many locations in Norway
of that name. Here is the source of my connection with Reitan:

From: Restbakken/Sortomme. Oppgarden:

Iver Arntsen Reitan (1862-1943) married Kari Pedersdtr. Lium of
Liagjerdet/Buklev (1864-1942) They married in1886, and had six children.
They are found in Horgboka 3, on page 497. They perhaps were only friends of
my grandparents, about the same age. It does not say where Iver was born, not
in Oppigard.
