I have found an Andreas Petersen, b. 1851 in Sparboen, living in Beitstad
on the Bratberg farm in the 1865 census. He is a servant and may not be
the son of the farmers.

I am assuming then that the son of Andreas and Sarah named Anton was born
sometime before or after their marriage then in 1876. Do you have a birth
date for him?

There is an Anton Andriassen, b. 1882 in the 1900 census in Beitstad on
Kvarving nedre farm with a father Andrias Petersen and mother Sara
Paulsdatter. There are 5 children listed. Based on the information you
have given, this looks like the right family which means they did not
emigrate until after 1900.

The emigration record from Trondheim shows emigration from:
1903 - Paul Andreass. Bratberg, b. 1884 Beistaden to Winnepag, Manitoba
1907 - Inga Bratberg, b. 1885 to Hannaford, ND
1910 - Olaf Andreas. Bratberg, b. 1889 to Superior, WI
1910 - Sigurd Bratberg, b. 1884 to Bottineau, ND
and several others but no Anton or Andreas.

If you have any other specific data, please let us know ... names, dates
and places. Where have you already searched? Is it possible he took the
Andreassen name (or another spelling of that)?
