Hello all. My first cousin three times removed was Anton Karlsen
Bratberg, born on December 2, 1882 in Norway, living in 1918 in
Minneapolis, and passing away in June of 1969 in Houston, Texas. He
married Emma, also known as Ester Marie. My 88 year old grandma Lil
remembers Anton and his family, and has kept in touch with his daughters
Irene and Marie. I have a number of pictures of Anton and his family.
Anton's father Karl Martel Pettersen Bratberg was my second
great-granduncle, as his sister Maren Anna Petersdatter Bratberg is my
great-great grandmother.

Karl Martel Pettersen Bratberg (b. 1855, Sparbu, NT - d. 1930) married
Elvine Ulven (b. 1864 Beitstad, d. aft 1895), and they had five children :

Astrid, married Bernard Lund, children Ruth, Eldrun and two boys
Anton, mentioned above
Magne, b. 1889 Beitstad
Jenny, b. 1893 Buksnes, Lofoten, Nordland, after they moved to the
Lofoten Islands
Frida, b. 1895 Buksnes, Lofoten, Nordland

Also in the family of Maren Anna and her brother Karl Martel Bratberg
was a brother Andreas Holan Bratberg, born in 1851. I have a picture of
him taken before 1900 at the "Lars Bach studio, Stenkjer". I don't have
further information on Andreas. Other siblings in the family were :

Ole Petersen Aasen b. 1848
Theodore Kristian b. 1853 m. Anne Nilsdatter, children Johanne and
Marius (I have pictures of this family)
Albert Pettersen b. 1860, d. 1841 (I have pictures of this family too ;
he came to America)
Tilbert Pettersen b. 1863, d. 1934 m. Tella Edvardsdatter, 11 children
(Petter, Paul, Agnes, Signe, Frida, Albert, Martin b. 1889, Karl b.
1893, Mataeus b. 1895, Julie b. 1897, Evald b. 1899.

those interested.
