I was hoping that someone could help me find this person in the parish registers. I believe she was born in Skogn, Alstadhaug parish in July 1863. She came to the US around 1886 (I think) and used the name Marie Nelson after she immigrated. Her death certificate lists her mother's name as Margaret but no info on her father other than he died when she was very young. I found one US census record where she used the name Nicoline instead of Marie.

I think her mother remarried and that Nicoline was part of the family in the link below. I also know that she had two half-brothers that came to America from approximately the same area (their names were John Marius and Ingvald Viborg. Viborg was the name they took after leaving Norway. They came to the US around 1909 and are in the 1900 Norwegian census as having a father with a last name of Rasmussen. there seems to many coincidences here.

In the census record I found, she is listed as 'Konens Datter'. Does that mean 'step daughter'?

I am hoping to find Marie's true father, her grandparents and to confirm her place and date of birth. I'd also like to find out when she came to the US as well.
