Have you obtained a copy of his death certificate?? It may indicate
his actual birth date and where in England he was born ...
Have you looked for an obituary for your grandfather ...... if there
was one in the newspaper it may also give you some clues?
Was he married when he came to Canada? Do you know the maiden name
of your grandmother?
If you know when or where they were married, the marriage certificate
may be able to give some clues about the parents, place of birth, etc......
