Concerning Lewis Turner:
With a name like MICAJAH TURNER, and being from VA., I would be inclined to
check on the HUMPHREY TURNER family in Maine. Many of this family came from
Maine down to Virginia, and I think I've seen that name among them.
Humphrey Turner is from Scotland, and has many descendents in this area.
There is even a TURNER, MAINE, in Androscoggin Co. named after a minister
named Turner.
I found this information in a book called "A HISTORY OF THE TURNER FAMILY"
by William A. Roskey. (copies may be obtained from : American Genealogical
Research Institute, 20 "E" street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001, $15.00 a
copy. It is 302 pages of family groups, connected...WONDERFUL information,
and besides, when you get to researching in Maine, People are born, they
get married, have children, and die...and have records of it...I thought I
was in heaven to have such wonderful records!!! Thanks to someone!!
The book contains: TURNER FAMILIES OF VIRGINIA, TURNER FAMILIES OF
MARYLAND, NORTH CAROLINA, NEW JERSEY, MASSACHUSETTS, CONNECTICUT, AND
DELAWARE.

Also, if you can contact Charles F. Turner on e-mail, he has records of
about 4500 descendants of Humphrey Turner. email me back and perhaps I can
find his address. He is very knowledgeable on the Turners.

I have some info. on the Casey family in Miss. if you are interested.
