Bill of Sale - John Turner Estate 20 Dec. 1834 lists the following Turners
who bought from the Estate: Rebekah, Mathias, John, Nathan, Sarah and Elias.
The will of John Turner was filed for probate 8 May 1813, in Spartanburg
Dist. , SC. It is interesting to note the estate sale was 20 Dec. 1834 or
21 years after John's death. Also, in 1838, in Lumpkin Co., Ga, there was
recorded:
"Power of Attorney Elias Turner of Lumpkin to Robert (Spartanburg, Dist.
1838) collect Elias's portion of John Turner's estate."
Will of John Turner names 2 children, Nathan and Sally, and ALL MY CHILDREN.
This may be who I think My Mathias Turner is, and John Turner may be his
father.
If anyone knows any more particulars of this family, I would appreciate
knowing more info.
Sincerely,
LaRee Nooner
