Hi Anita,
Thank you for responding so quickly. Yes, I am on the Turner list; and I was
just going through the list archives today. I found alot of interesting info.
but some of it doesn't agree with itself (i.e., having children in their 60's
etc).
But, some thought provoking stuff. I'm starting to think that this John
(1738-1813) may be one of mine. (i.e., John 3; below)
The following is my line. I hope you recognize someone. (I've got some
peculiar names like; Wyndham and Talton).
1. ?
2. John Turner
2. Thomas Turner
2. William Wyndham Turner
3. John Turner
4. Philip Turner b. 1762 Raleigh, Wake Co., NC
+ Abigail Hickman b. 1768
5. Talton Turner b. Nov. 02, 1791 Raleigh, Wake Co., NC
+ Sallie Small Earickson b. Apr. 22, 1802 Jefferson Co., KY
6. Eliza Jane Turner b. 1822 MO.
+ Elijah Robertson Pullium
+ John Dietz Perry May 15, 1815 Hampshire Co., VA
d. Aug. 24, 1895 St. Louis, MO. (My Line)
6. Benjamin Turner
6. Richard Earickson Turner
6. Henry Atkinson Turner
6. Mary Ann Turner
6. Eleanor Turner
+ Benjamin W. Lewis
6. Gustavus Turner
6. Rebecca Susan Turner
+ ? Lewis
6. William Turner
6. John Hickman Turner b. Jun. 9, 1837 Howard Co., MO.
+ Bettie Jackson
6. Abigail Turner
This is the line that was handed down to me. I now am trying to confirm it
and add to it. Any additions, corrections or references ?
Some of the info from the list archive's made me think. I found a post
stating a William Wyndham Turner Sr. and his son William Wyndham Turner Jr.
got to thinking maybe John 3 above was actually the same guy as John 2 and
their father may still be a William Wyndham Turner.
Because, this old family letter that I have states that 3 brothers emigrated
from England to NC and fought in the Revolution (i.e., John, Thomas and
William).
Thanks for your time,
BOB PERRY
