The family moved from NC, TN to Benton Co. and then Franklin Co. AR.

Need information who Elder John Turner's father was. Also what part of
Ireland he came from. He became a Jockey when he came to America. The info I
have tells he was in much demand as a Jockey. He later became a Primitive
Baptist after he married Elizabeth. He served in the Revolutionary War for 7
years. He served under Washington.He served in the 1st, 6th, and 11th
Virginia Regiment.John came to middle Tn Abt 1787 on an expedition against
the Chicamauga Indains. This is according to pay vouchers found in the
Treasurer;s Office. in the NC archives. Hope we can make a connection.
