Descendants of William T. Turner of Merzweiler
The Turner, Thruner, Tournier clan originated in Merzweiler Austria. Merzweiler was right on the border between Austria and Germany and at the corner with France. During the many wars and Disputes, Merzweiler had changed Countries many times. It was destroyed during WWII. Merzweiler was about 6 miles NW of Lauterecken, which is located WSW of Frankfurt and NE of Saarbrucken.
William's Declaration of Intention is dated June 23, 1884
William's Certificate of Citizenship is dated May 24, 1895
Both of these documents were in the state of Nebraska, the Declaration in Brown County,
the Certificate of Citizenship, Rock County.
Immigrated from Merzweiler to Canada in 1850, his wife came with him. They went from Merzweiler to Canada to Nebraska.
