Hi! Do you know what county in Ohio they were in or if any of the
TURNERs went to Edgar Co, IL (right next to Vermilion Co)? I have
TURNERs from Greene Co, OH that went to Edgar Co, IL At this point I
don't know if perhaps relatives were in Vermilion Co or not. The time
frame is fits w/yours and some of the names were Jonah TURNER Sr. m to
Mary BEASON their children were Jonah Jr, Joseph, David, Sarah, Absalom
Robison and Colby. Absalom m Louesa Henrietta BARTH and their children
were Colby, twins Maude and Claude, Eva, Emma Louesa and Edgar or Edward.
Absalom and his brother Colby fought side by side in the Civil War.
Colby was killed and that is who Absalom's son is named after.
