Have been doing some more checking and like I said according to the 1860
census he was supposed to have been born in Maryland. I found where one of his
daughters, Margaret was married to an Andrew Johnson and found them on the
census and she states that her father was born in Ohio. Boy these things can be so
confusing. But really no I have not been able to confirm that Ezekiel was
born in Maryland or George. Just that they both died in Vermillion County,
Indiana. Wished I really knew the answer and maybe with more searching I just
might find that out.

I put my Turner query on today: 'Trying to find any family for Isaac TURNER
b 1788 Paris, FR came to US 1792 (re a news article by his daughter in 1937)
d 1867 Wayne Co., PA. Isaac served in the War of 1812, enlisting in
Westchester Co., NY. I have found an Isaac Turner in the census there, but
from other info do not believe it is the same person. Cannot find Isaac's
parentage or siblings. The family name was TOURNEUR - var. sp.
Family lore says Isaac came from 'the middle West' and stopped in South
Canaan and worked on Nancy Kelley's farm since she lived there alone. (It
is thought Isaac was married at least once, perhaps twice, before appearing
in PA.)' I have children's names, etc. Twins ran in the family for a few
generations beginning with Isaac/Nancy and the name 'Milton' is in 2
generations.
As you can see, my Isaac is supposed to have come from 'the middle West' -
whatever that means, so could possibly be Indiana. Perhaps my Isaac and
your George were brothers?
