Interesting post, Bob. My maiden name is Vance, and I have traced my
line back to John Vance, who was born IN BOSTON in 1737, to Hugh Vans
and Mary Pemberton Vans. I have no information on your Elizabeth,
however I wonder if possibly she may have been a descendant of one of my
John Vance's brothers: William (born 10 Apr 1730 Boston) or Ebenezer
(born 21 Apr 1729 Boston). I do not have a list of their
children/grandchildren; sorry.
