You can search the Texas State Archives & Manuscripts for Confederate
Pension Applications, and they may be obtained by either writing or e-mailing from
the link provided at the site. The Pension Application requests are limited
to 10 per week due to the volume of requests for copies. They cost $.10 per
page for legal and letter size and $.50 per page for ledger size. I found
applications for:

James Walker
#34391
Bexar Co.

John Thomas Ives
#39698
Bexar Co.
Elizabeth M. Ives
#40570
Bexar Co.

Robert Alexander Persons
#18374
Smith Co.
Mrs. Robert Alexander Persons
#37035
Bexar Co.

W. A. Bennett
Young Co.
reject

William Jefferson Spillman
#28439
Bexar Co.
Mrs. William Jefferson Spillman
#33405
Bexar Co.

Annie Dewees Mrs. John Oatman)
#43698
Wilson Co.

Bettie I. Dewees (Mrs Thomas)
#50842
Bexar Co.

John A. Irvine
#24659
Coke Co.

Nancy Caldwell (Mrs. George Washington)
#06950

Mary Jane Young (Mrs. Newton A.)

Speaking from experience, sometimes the widow's pension application provides
more information than does the husband's application!

Hope this helps.
