This is correct....some of the dates are incorrect---Louise was born 1853,
but married 1871 (from Smith Co marriage records).
The Bibby family, 4 brothers and two sisters, left Coosa Co Alabama after
Oct 1869, and were in Smith Co Texas 1870 Census....Living in White House, I
think--don't have the census before me just now.
The son, John Thomas (Tom) was my grandfather.
The wife, Louise Meador, probably returned to Smith Co, where her family was
living. She married Mr. Story in 1884, had 2 or 3 children with him, and
she died in 1896. She is buried in the Meador cemetery in Smith Co...her
tombstone reads: Louise Bibby Story, dau of Tom & Eliz. Meador, wife of
J.B. Bibby.
I have photos of her tombstone, but have only recently been informed of his
burial in Henderson Co., and hope to photograph his tombstone.
Thank you so very much for the input..
Doris....A Texan in Georgia.....
Still shaking the family tree and
dodging the nuts after 30+ years!

Doris, sorry I confused your name with the abbreviation for "Thanks in
Advance".! In Ancestory.com, I find a Josephus Bibby researched by two
different researchers who give a bit different information. One researcher
list date of birth to be 26 Jan 1841, the other "abt 1850". One shows the
date of death to be "abt 1882". Married to Louise Meador who was born in
Smith County, TX, "abt 1853". Date of marriage "abt 1878". Two sons, John
Thomas, born about 1880 and Joseph, born "abt 1882". Josephus is shown to
have been a Confederate veteran having served in the 46th Alabama Infantry.
No assurances, but the birthplace of Louise Meador in a good indication as
Fincastle Community is a bit southwest of Tyler, TX which is in Smith
County, TX. E. Sanders, College Station,TX.
