Bill, I find thisEzekiel Mouton in the Social Security Death
Index, but SSDI shows no burial information. I have checked
the National Cemeteries for Fort Sam Houston, Houston, TX
and Port Hudson, LA without success. As you probably are
aware, headstones may be furnished for burial in private
cemeteries. As a result, this stone could come nearby or
at some distant point. Although there is information in the
VA website that says the VA cannot look up certain records,
I would contact the VA anyhow. Does the monument look
as though it were of fairly recent vintage or is it weathered
and stained? Is it complete or broken? If you choose not
to try to obtain information from the VA, I will do it with the
information that we have. E. Sanders, College Station
