proper placement of a veteran's tombstone. In November of 2001a resident of

> The Post Commander of Post 504 was contacted for assistance and the matter
was referred to a Post Service Officer for search action. Through the
combined effort of the DFW National Cemetery and the service officer a copy
of the Adkins death certificate was obtained and the gravesite was located.
Post 504 donated the funds to have the marker set in place. After 16 years,
the Lewis J. Adkins (b: 1924, d: 1986) gravesite is now properly marked. It
was also discovered tha the gravesite of Mrs. Adkins, who died 2 years
before her husband, was not marked. Post 504 is raising the funds to
provide a bronze marker for her gravesite.
