The Bottoms. It's right in between the two but I don't think my friend would
describe it as thick woods. I would describe it as heavy brush and small
trees Anyway, it is certainly a mess. Is there a transcription of the stones in
there? Do we know if it was associated with a church that might still be
extant? Has anyone looked into getting the government to take responsibility for
it?
Paul - to my knowledge no complete transcription unless Genie has one ... I
have one or two ... don't know of a specific church but if anyone has the time
to pursue, I'd look for the nearest blalck church and try for help there ...
or a boy scout troop (they are always looking for Eagle Scout Badge project
... Government!? forget it - it's in Eversole's pct. but no help here ...
Harris County Flood Control? - I've not made any contact but it "might" be
worth while ... It will take someone in the area to ramrod whatever project
..... I'd opt for the Boy Scouts (cleaning & transcribing)
-- the Fort Bend Co one, the Society there has a transcription ... ask at
George Memorial Library.
