After replying to your inquiry on cemetery access easements, I felt that I
had not really given you much that you could "use". At
http://www.thc.state.tx.us/historicproperty/hpeasement.html
you will find information from the Texas Historical Commission that may be
of help to you. As I read this information, I gain the impression that
there are agencies of the State of Texas that will assist in the preparation
of perpetual easements. Good luck. E. Sanders, College Station, TX.

Subject: [TXCem] Cemetery Access Easements

> Does anyone have an example, infomation, or advice about easements
allowing access to old family cemeteries located on private property? The
cemetery in question has been designated a Texas Historic Cemetery by the
THC, but as most know, historic recognition is a completely different issue
from access.

interests, allows access for normal cemetery purposes, and allows for a
roadway and gate. Their attorney, however, for months has been just "too
busy" to write it up and has asked us to furnish a proposed draft ( ! ?) .
